In the materials of the Central Archive of the Red Army, a number of interesting hand-written documents of M. V. Frunze were discovered: order of May 23, 1919, on entry into command of the troops of the Turkestan army; documents related to the liberation of Bukhara; a note in the Revolutionary Military Council of the 1st Army on “the main provisions of our policy regarding the Cossacks” and a manuscript entitled “A Word to the Cossacks-Orenburgers”.

In the House of the Red Army (Ural Military District), a permanent exhibition was opened dedicated to the life and work of the People's Commissar of Defense of the Hero and Marshal of the Soviet Union S.K. Timoshenko. The exhibition displays the glorious battle path of the People's Commissar. Photos and paintings depict individual stages of this journey: Comrade Tymoshenko - commander of the 6th Cavalry Division, commander of the military district, Comrade Tymoshenko during the liberation campaign in Western Ukraine and at the front of the struggle against the Finnish White Guard. In a special section of the exhibition, materials are grouped showing how the People’s Commissar of Defense leads the restructuring of the combat training of the Red Army.

March 15 marks the fifteenth anniversary of the death of Dmitry Furmanov, the military commissar and author of the remarkable works on the civil war: Chapaev and Mutiny. The state publishing house of fiction notes the memory of the writer by preparing the one-volume works of Furmanov. The book will include novels "Chapaev" and "Rebellion", Furmanov's diaries (some of them are published for the first time), versions of "Rebellion" and "Chapaev" and stories. To perpetuate the memory of Furmanov, the Presidium of the Writers' Union formed a standing commission. By decision of the Presidium of the Writers' Union, the entire Furmanov archive was transferred for scientific development to the A. M. Gorky Institute of World Literature of the USSR Academy of Sciences. A special commission of the institute, together with a standing commission of the writers' union, began a detailed development of the archive; it is supposed to publish a special research collection for the 50th anniversary of the birth of Dm. Documents depicting the political work of Dmitry Furmanov in the Red Army in 1919 and 1920 were found in the Central Archive of the Red Army. Of significant historical interest are the political summaries and newsletters that he signed that he wrote about the combat, moral and political condition of the front in August - September - November 1919 and January 1920. Many orders for the political department of the Turkfront were given with the joint signatures of Frunze and Furmanov.
